Electricians around Britain are considering the changes to the wiring regulations (BS7671:2008) that have been drafted by the IET. Although many of the changes proposed seem to be minor it shows that the electrical industry constantly works to improve the safety and standard of electrical installations thereby keeping all of us just that little bit safer.

Despite all the regulations that have been imposed on the industry over the years, including Part P of the building regulations, The City and Guilds have announced that as of August 2010 there are 97,411 Certified learners in the field of electrical installation   Those studying Social care take up second place in the figures with 62,987 learners and in third place the 47,506 learners on hairdressing courses.
